Help make The Pond a better place to live.
This is an invitation to join an elite group of homeowners. The contribution made by volunteers is the backbone of our unique community.
Homeowners with a passion for the Pond and a desire to make and sustain their place of residence as something special help in many ways.
Opportunities to volunteer include the following:
- Board of Directors There are seven positions on the Board. The basic term of office is three years.
Typically, there are three to five rotations each year. The Board is the core-governing group for fiduciary control,
oversight of the Covenants and Restrictions and Declarations and general management of this not-for-profit corporation.
- Architectural Control Committee This committee reviews, advises and approves homeowner requests for improvements,
alterations and changes on homeowner properties as provided for in our governing documents.
Membership terms on this committee are three years.
- Grounds and Environmental Committee In addition to considerations about environmental impacts, such as drought,
this committee works on improving the beautification of our property and sustaining the asset value of our landscaping.
- Financial Planning Committee Budget, the long range Reserve Study, and overall financial health are the major concerns of this oversight committee.
- Annual, One Time and Projects These may be periodic or as needed volunteer efforts.
A traditional event manned by volunteers is our Annual Spring Clean up.
- Special Use and Activity Committees A Lake Committee oversees this major community asset.
As appropriate other committees handle the playgrounds, swimming pools, clubhouse and tennis courts.
- Block Representatives This group of homeowners represents a door-to-door linkage throughout the community.
Members serve their own block, cul-de-sac or immediate neighborhood.
More information about these positions and committees may be found in the Pond Covenants and Restrictions and Declarations.
