We Encourage You to Recycle

Recycling reduces your trash volume and it's good for our environment!

* Did you know that yard waste presents you with one of your greatest recycling opportunities? 50% of the waste that goes into the landfill in the growing months of the year is recyclable organic material -grass clippings, leaves and brush. You can recycle your grass clippings by leaving the clippings on the ground when you mow. This also helps retain water in your lawn.

* Pickup is every other week on the same day as your trash pickup.

* BFI's easy sort recycling allows you to mix together plastic bottles, glass and metal cans in the same bin. They will be mechanically sorted at the recycling center.

* Newspapers should be kept in a separate stack or bag either inside or adjacent to the bin.

* Place the stacks of newspaper under the bin on collection day to prevent blowing.

* Additional bins are available from BPI for a charge. Call our customer service center.

* You are welcome to use other bins purchased from discount and hardware stores as a second bin. Make sure your blue BFI bin is placed out in front so our driver will see it.

* You can recycle motor oil and car batteries at most Checker Auto Parts and Pep Boys stores.

* Recycle your computer monitors through GRX Recycles at (303) 477-2764.
