Notices & Reminders
From The Board

We want to remind homeowners that we do not have lifeguards at the pool. The pool rules state the guidelines for pool usage and are posted at the pool and on our website. Hopefully, courtesy and respect for our jointly owned facility will insure everyone enjoys themselves. Unfortunately, past abuse has necessitated the presence of a Front Range Patrol officer at the pool.

The Annual Spring Walk-Through, which is conducted by the Architectural Review Committee, was postponed due to inclement weather. The purpose of the walk-through is to sustain and enhance all property values through a collaborative contribution to the overall image and condition of the Pond community.

Typically homeowners, following the ARC guidelines which are on the website, submit requests to upgrade, paint, maintain and improve their properties. The Spring walk-through provides an opportunity to identify where the above activities have been performed without appropriate approval or not at all. Violation notices are then mailed to homeowners. Please respond to any notice you may receive as ignoring it may result in fines.

The pool opens Saturday, May 29. On that day, the Board invites everyone for hot dogs, chips and soft drinks outside the clubhouse between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., to celebrate the new season. During the same hours, everyone is also invited to tour the updated clubhouse.

Annual Spring Cleanup

Thank you to all the wonderful neighbors who helped with the 2010 Pond Cleanup on Saturday, May 1st.  Forty-four hardy people showed up, despite the weather forecast, to help spruce the neighborhood for the summer.  And they were all treated to an absolutely beautiful morning – not too hot, no wind and plenty of sunshine.

Several of the volunteers mentioned that the trash mess was minimal this year.  I truly believe that when so many people come out to help in the spring, that everyone continues to pick up trash when it appears all during the year.  It certainly makes our lovely neighborhood even more beautiful when we all pitch in to keep it that way.  Thank you to you all. Even with the relatively clean common areas, we still filled a roll-off with fallen branches, floating debris from the pond and tree trimmings taken care of during the week preceding the cleanup.

Huge thank yous to all of you who came to help:  Nick and Cate Stevens, Dennis and Penny Thorne, Dexter Miller, Lee Sudmeier (and his truck), Jim Fronapfel, Jackie Mills, Jodi, Sammie and Cassie Mills, Ken and Bernice Bueche, Scott and Brianna Stephens, Elizabeth Ross, Larry Osborn, Caitlin Frie, Ted Atteridg, Jimmy and Robert Zerr, John Atteridg, Dan Feinberg, Suzanne Grundstrom, Liz, Rich, Ryan and Sarah Jones, Forrest Werner, The Griffins, Ethan Pieters, Dillon Herring, Rob and Debra Zerr, Tim Doherty, Pat Wethington, Ron Flannery,  and our property managers Lee and Sandy Courcamp.  Special thanks to the “lake crew”: Bill Wilson and Linda Klein in the waders and Gladys Kerns and Brian Seegmiller on the shore.  As in previous years, Tom Ewens did a good amount of cutting up larger fallen branches during the week prior to the cleanup.  Thank you, Tom.  Thanks also to Bernice Bueche, Jackie Mills, and Jodi Mills who helped with the reminder phone calls.

The cleanup is a great way to announce to the world that spring has come, to see your neighbors after being tucked away all winter, and to meet the wonderful new folks who have moved into the neighborhood.  That certainly happened on May 1st!
