Notices & Reminders
From The Board

In case you missed it, many Pond homeowners attended the 2009 Pond Homeowners’ Annual Meeting on October 22, 2009. Highlights of this past year were reviewed, and proposed projects for the coming year were shared including:

  • replacing the footbridge at the dam,
  • updating and renovating the clubhouse,
  • building a permanent shade for the pool area, and
  • planting mature trees to offset the on-going removal of old, damaged trees.

Questions from the floor helped clarify some activities and operations in our community including a reminder that the association does not provide snow removal. If an individual homeowner would like to clarify their account status, they may personally contact Maximum Property Management. As noted in the meeting announcement, monthly assessments have been reduced because the loan for the Water Project was paid off earlier than anticipated. Since the community has already approved dues at the higher rate, the Board may increase dues up to that amount as the need arises.

As always, the Board recognized the value and significant contributions made by individuals who volunteer their time, energy and passion to our community through participation in our spring clean-up, various committee activities, Board membership and specific projects. Specifically mentioned by name were Carla Wilson, webmaster; Candy Frie, chair, Spring Clean-up, Susannah Patterson, Ponderings Editor and Dexter Miller who keeps our doggy bag dispensers full.

In particular the Board acknowledged these individuals for their special efforts:

  • Tom Ewens for general “handy-man” work involving trimming, painting, patching and clean up;
  • Ron Lombardi, chair of the Architectural Review Committee, for round the clock assistance to homeowners for approvals for repairs following the July hailstorm (Kim Mattei at the MPM home office was thanked for her assistance with these efforts);
  • Sandi and Lee Courkamp for their diligent, almost daily, personalized service as property managers for The Pond.
Homeowners reelected Tom Ewens, Lee Sudmeier and Joe Schurwonn to the Board.  Officer assignments remain the same.
